Family Reunification Project

Little girl lifted high over head.

The Family Reunification Project is an innovative demonstration focused on reduction of foster care and increased kinship care as the best alternative for children who are unable to be cared for by their parents.

In partnership with the San Francisco Department of Health and Human Services, Friends Outside provides liaison services in all California State Prisons and select jails to support placement planning, contact visits for children of incarcerated parents who are in foster care in San Francisco, and representation at case conferences.
