VIP Open House

September 19, 2024 - 5:30pm to 7:30pm

Friends Outside - 1148 W Fremont St, Stockton CA 95203

Lite savory and sweet hors d'oeuvres will be served alongside adult beverages and lemonade.

We cordially invite you to an exclusive open house at Friends Outside wherein we will showcase our programs and our new Resiliency Lab.

Resilience: Resilience refers to the ability to successfully adapt to stressors, maintaining psychological well-being in the face of adversity. It's the ability to “bounce back” from difficult experiences.

Friends Outside has been serving the California community since 1955, offering caring and supportive services to those impacted by the justice system.  Our mission is to offer caring, evidence-based services to adults and youth who are incarcerated, reentering the community or at risk, so that they, their families and neighborhoods can be safe and thrive.  Our work is effective at keeping families affected by incarceration together and reducing recidivism rates among those that participate in our reentry services.

As a part of our effort to affect recidivism rates, we offer Freedom Planning in our Lab to all who have experienced incarceration in California and live or want to live in San Joaquin County.  Freedom Planning includes assistance finding and retaining employment and housing in addition to prosocial skill building – this is what the Resiliency Lab is all about.

We have set aside this time for policy makers, funders, donors and community leaders to tour the Lab and to hear of our plans to help San Joaquin County, California, and those impacted by incarceration, thrive.

Thank you for your consideration. We hope to see you then.
